Yeah, that is definitely true. And you just got the outline.. Wait for the shading and color haha. The sternum, and both the false ribs and floating ribs are horrible! He only clipped parts of the ribs on mine, and yeah.. Laying down, looking up at a light, and trying to hold your breath.. Horrible combo while getting tattooed and trying not to pass out haha. Thanks for the help though man, and the piece looks great! Let me know how it feels once you start the color/shading ;) haha

Fuck man... I tapped out after three hours on my stomach haha. My friend is apprenticing right now, so he's a little slow.. Shading absolutely killed! I just posted a picture of what I got. The "THE" was so fucking bad! Great.. My chest piece is going to be from the top of that tattoo, to my throat. Eh, fuck it... If it didn't hurt, then everyone would have tattoos haha.
Yeah I mean as far as the pain goes it’s totally worth it, same goes for any tattoos I get. The pain isn’t really ever a factor in deciding if I want a certain tattoo or not, it might just make it take a little longer to finish. I’ve always heard that the sternum is absolutely terrible so I went in with that mentality, but after doing my stomach it really felt bearable, for the most part.
I just wanted to say that your tattoos are amazing. Seriously, man! Will you put some colour in the one you did in your chest/stomach?

Ey, I just saw what you submitted to fuckyeahtattoos and was just wondering how shit was. I just got a shit ton of black lettering done on my stomach and it was absolutely horrible! A few friends of mine have agreed that fat is worse than bone.. I'm kind of a bigger dude too, so ya know haha. Anyway. How was your chest compared to your stomach? I have a big piece I want to do, just not too excited about it if it's anywhere near as horrible as my stomach was haha.
Yeah all 5 hours of it was pretty rough to be honest haha. The lower stomach, around my belly button was probably the worst of it though. I was expecting the middle chest to be much worse than it was really. The candle at the bottom of my throat was the least fun in terms of upper body. I’d say if you can handle the stomach then you’ll be alright on your chest.
